Death is not the end…
Monday, September 29, 2008, 10:52 AM
Hiya!

Oki doki, here's a sample page from the latest Love Hurts episode, the werewolf one…

I'm now working one the next one, a super hero-story. It will be the last Love Hurts-episode(!). For a while anyway. I'll do a special prologue-comic for the compilation book, but as a proper Love Hurts-episode number twenty is the last one. I might do one from time to time, but not monthly.

The thing is I'm starting a new project. My graphic novel, that I've mentioned here before. It's a romantic horror story as well, about a bullied school girl, her imaginary friend, and their revenge. It's gonna be awesome! Hopefully it'll be published monthly in a new magazine that's coming out next year I think.

I just came home from the Gothenburg Book Fair, Bokmässan. I hung out with fellow comic book artists and other fun people. Met some fans, always a pleasure. I had postcards printed with the cover for my upcoming book. So I guess it's time to show how it's gonna look here as well…

Pretty nice, huh?!

Now I really have to get started on that super hero-comic, tight deadline…

Zombies and bikinis!
Monday, August 18, 2008, 01:38 PM
Hola!
Finished another episode, #18. I was gonna do the werewolf-story that I've mentioned earlier. But I convinced my editor to give me eight pages for it, but then I had to wait another issue. So I did a zombie-story first. It takes place at the beach, so lots of bikinis and lots of zombies… and also zombies in bikinis.
It was actually an idea from my mentor, Peter Snejbjerg, that I should do a comic that takes place at the beach, so I'd have to practise drawing anatomy by drawing people in swimwear.
Here is a sample page:

I'm also working on the cover for the Love Hurts-book. Today I'm going to ink the picture and start colouring it. Here's a pic to see how far I've gotten:

Summer Time!
Friday, July 18, 2008, 10:59 AM
NYC was the bomb! Loved that city, hope I can go back soon enough. Bought a lot of horror comics and met some cool comic arts people.
Now I'm in the country side taking it easy. But I have found time this summer to do some comics as well. A really weird Love Hurts-episode, no. 17. It's about a teddy bear that gets lost and stumbles upon adventures…
A sample page, pour toi:

I'm working on the cover for the Love Hurts compilation book (!). YES, IT'S TRUE!!! It'll be out next spring on Kartago, in time for SPX in Stockholm. I'm working on the cover for it right now. Here's a sketch for the picture that's gonna be on the cover:

I'll put up more as it develops…

The compilation will include all twenty Love Hurts-episodes I've done so far, or I that I'll have done when the year is over, the Halloween special "Love Hurts: Anastasia" and a prologue/epilogue-comic special just for the book. It's gonna be awesome!

All this thinking about my comics makes me homesick, maybe I should take the train back home tomorrow and get to work?

Copenhagen here I come! … and New York next week.
Friday, May 30, 2008, 02:54 PM
Yo!
Just sent in the latest Love Hurts, number 16. My inking has really taken a dramatic turn since the Kung-Fu episode I did some months ago. But it's all good.
Here's a sample page as usual:

Tomorrow I'm going to Komiks.dk, a kick-ass comics festival in Copenhagen. I'll catch up with my mentor Peter Snejbjerg and ask for a autograph from Duncan Fegredo, a great influence on my comics who's gonna be there. Other than that, drink lots of Danish beer and go to Palle Schmidt's release party for his new album Blodets Konkubine.

And next week it's Mocca, Comics Festival, in NYC! I'll be there with friends and colleagues, C'est Bon and Jan Bielecki. It's gonna be a blast! The big apple! Can't wait…

When I get back home it's back to making Love Hurts, I have some really cool scripts I want to draw. A warewolf-story, finally!

The Ice Queen…
Saturday, May 3, 2008, 01:11 PM
Hi everybody!
Just finished the latest Love Hurts-episode, number 15 it is. And with the Halloween-special that's 16, just over 70 pages in total. We're talking about collecting them all in a book, wouldn't that be super cool?

The latest episode takes place in the ice rink of the Ice Dance World Tournament. There's just so much passion in Ice Dance and they have so sharp and shiny blades under their feet, perfect for Love Hurts.

Here's a sample. I wish I could show you the gory bits but that would give away the story.

I've come quite a bit on the script for my graphic novel too. I can't wait to start drawing it, it'll be something quite special. I am aiming for a 150 pages, full of romance and horror.

There's a really nice interview with me in the latest issue of Tidningen Kulturen. I scanned it and put it up here, if you don't belive me!

From the other side…
Saturday, March 29, 2008, 10:56 PM
Soooo… here's a sample page from the latest Love Hurts, as always. It has the bloodiest ending so far. I was actually surprised that my editor let it through without any comments.

I've already started with the next one. It takes place in the ice rink, two gorgeous ice dancers lovers quarrel. You shouldn't mess with anyone who's got a sharp blade under each foot.

I've also started to write a graphic novel. It's going really well and I can't wait to start drawing it. It's a horror story, that's all I can say right now. But as it progresses I'll post more about it.

Kung-fu fighting!
Monday, February 4, 2008, 09:32 PM
Aight!
Here's a sample from the latest Love Hurts, Kung-fu theme. I've inked in a different style, which I'm very excited about. I think this style works better for action comics like this one. There's a lot of fighting in it, but I guess you'll have to read it to see ;D

Last week I was in Angoulême, France, for the International Comics Festival, www.bdangouleme.com. That was awesome! Very inspiring, I just couldn't wait to go home and make new comics. But the great weather and French food kept me there all week. I was there with super talented comic artist Naomi Nowak, www.naomi.se. Be sure to check her stuff out!

Long time, no update…
Saturday, January 5, 2008, 02:35 PM
It's been a while, sorry about that. Guess I've been busy.
So what has happened lately?
I finished the comic with the dragon that I mentioned in the last entry.
Here is a sample, a double page spread!

And now I'm working on the next Love Hurts, lucky number 13.
After watching a lot of Chinese kung fu-movies lately, I couldn't help but to do a kung fu-Love Hurts. And it will be the best one ever!
I'm gonna put up some sketches and stuff when I have the time.

Add some colour to that…
Monday, November 26, 2007, 10:17 PM
So… here is the latest Love Hurts in colour.
I put up the first page as well as the second, which you have seen before.
Just because it turned out so well ;D

I'm already doing the next one. It has a double page spread with a kick-ass dragon in it! Sounds good, huh?
